Dan Demole is an entrepreneur based in NYC. He is the founder and Co-CEO of Slip.stream, a music platform built for the modern creator economy.
Dan grew up along the Space Coast of Florida during the 1980's. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Computer Science in 2001.
After graduation, he went to work at L3 Communications developing simulation software for the AH-64D Apache helicopter and then later to Electronic Arts as a game programmer.
In 2005, he sold his possessions and hopped on a plane for Costa Rica with a surfboard and backpack in hand. He spent over two years traveling across Central America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Most of his days were spent reading, learning to love coffee, meditating, surfing, and chronicling the journey for his travel site where he raised money to fund his adventure as well for non-profit organizations along the way.
Upon returning to the US, Dan landed in NYC where he co-founded Jingle Punks Music in 2008. He initially served as CTO, developing their cloud-based licensing platforming and earning two US patents. Jingle Punks became the largest independent production music library in the world. It was sold twice: initially to talent agency WME/Silver Lake and then again in 2015 to Anthem Entertainment. Post acquisition, he transitioned to the operational and financial head of the company in the role of President, Production Music of Anthem Entertainment.
In 2020, with the help and nudging from a global pandemic, Dan left Jingle Punks and started Slip.stream with funding from Third Prime, Lightshed Ventures, Operator Partners, and Dash fund. He and his co-founders are on a mission to build ultimate music platform for creators to come and use music, not just listen to it.
He's been featured in the Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Billboard, CNN, made the cover of Variety, and was profiled in Business Week as founder of one of America's Most Promising Startups. He currently resides in hills of Connecticut with his wife, two kids, and a french bulldog named Pickles.
